The Bible has a lot to say about giving—it's a major theme throughout both the Old and New Testaments. Giving is often connected to generosity, love, trust in God, and caring for others. 

🙌 Giving Is an Act of Worship and Gratitude

Proverbs 3:9 – “Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce.”
→ Giving is seen as a way to honor God.

2 Corinthians 9:7 – “Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
→ The heart behind the giving matters more than the amount.

💝 Giving Should Be Generous and Willing

Luke 6:38 – “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over...”
→ There's a spiritual principle of blessing tied to generous giving.

Acts 20:35 – “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
→ This reflects Jesus’ teaching that giving brings joy and fulfillment.

🤝 Giving to Those in Need Is Giving to God

Proverbs 19:17 – “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.”

Matthew 25:40 – “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

💰 Giving and Trusting God with Finances

Malachi 3:10 – “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse...and thereby put me to the test...if I will not open the windows of heaven for you...”
→ One of the only places in the Bible where God says to test Him—through giving.

Matthew 6:21 – “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
→ What we do with money reveals what we value most.
